Our client is growing, and their Sunshine Coast office is searching for a Senior Manager specializing in ASPE, ASNPO, and PSAS accounting standards. 

We will consider applicants looking for a remote position as well.

The Role

  • Manage and review NTR, review, and audit engagements independently and effectively.
  • Deliver complete product to the Partner on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrate understanding of clients’ industries, marketplace, business trends, and technical and industry developments, and communicate such insights to the clients.
  • Provide technical expertise on ASPE, ASNPO, and PSAS standards.
  • Manage engagement teams, providing recommendations as required.
  • Delegate tasks to all levels of staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their career development within the firm.
  • Foster positive working relationships with client personnel and co-workers.
  • Manage client relationships, win new work, and ensure quality of work completed.
  • Oversee client portfolios, primarily in construction, charities/societies, NPOs, quasi-government organizations, school districts, and larger charities.
  • Mentor and coach senior and staff accountants.

Job requirements

What You Will Bring

  • CPA designation with 7+ years of relevant public practice experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, and PSAS accounting standards.
  • Experience in industries our firm supports is considered an asset.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and leadership skills.
  • An innovative thinker, comfortable in a team and client-focused environment.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
  • Problem solver with solid analytical skills.
  • Experience in CaseWare/Caseview and TaxPrep is an asset.
  • Experience in a paperless environment is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to the Sunshine Coast three times per year, including our annual conference (more if desired).
